Introducing Modern Horticultural Technology to Farmers through Puppet Shows – ICAR-IIHR Bengaluru

Bengaluru: ICAR - Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bengaluru, located in Hesaraghatta, is hosting the National Horticulture Fair from February 27 to March 1. People from different parts of the country are expected to visit and witness the event. This year, the preparations for the horticultural fair are in full swing, and a special attraction has been included—a string puppet show. As an innovative initiative, a puppet show titled "Arka Kranti" has been designed to educate farmers about modern agricultural practices and IIHR's latest technologies. This unique approach is meant to convey knowledge engagingly. The story revolves around farmers' lives and agriculture, developed by Dr. Ramya H.R., an agricultural scientist at IIHR.
