Dr Satishkumar P. Vallepure, Assistant Professor of the University College of Fine Arts Davanagere becomes nostalgic while commenting on the artworks of Shivanand K Pattar-"After going through the artworks of Shivanand K Pattar on display I was reminded of the typical British academic style. ...In tune with the requirements:
Whenever we hold an exhibition and lecture exhibition to the students of a University college, it would be of utmost importance to ensure that they are in tune with the requirements and expectations of the student community. In his one-man show, Shivanand K Pattar displayed abstract paintings in his own Elements series apart from demonstrating portrait painting in the simplest manner possible for the students. Year, 1959, Place Amritsar. Some Indian Army Officers & their wives went to the Railway Station to see off one of their colleagues.
