Doctors also Need Time for the Family: Dr Chandragouda Dodagoudar

Bengaluru:
Dr Chandragouda Dodagoudar is presently the Director-Medical Oncology at the BLK-MAX super-speciality hospital on Pusa Road in New Delhi. When you think of a speciality in the treatment of Medical Oncology in India, Dr Chandragouda Dodagoudar happens to be one of the leading names with 21 years of experience in the Medical Oncology field of specialisation.

An advocate for time to the family: Despite being a busy doctor Dr Chandragouda Dodagoudar is a strong advocate of spending quality time with the family. He opines that, irrespective of the doctors' busy schedule they should make time for themselves to do justice to the family members and more so with the kids.

The family is very very important: Dr Chandragouda Dodagoudar says-"In the current fast world, it is very difficult for any doctor to devote a lot of time to the family. However, I would like to differ on that. The family life is very very important. We may definitely keep on earning and taking calls, juggling all along for our professional lives. But, we need to strike a balance between our professional lives and family lives which is very very essential...

...Not finding time no reason:
Do keep working hard during the stipulated time, but your family also needs your time. By the time you say that I will earn so much money and I will devote my time after 50 years, you wouldn't know that your kids would have been educated and have flown away. So, I don't buy that stance being put forth for not finding time. Every doctor needs to balance it out. I do not say that you must not practice, but balancing the professional and family life is very very important".

Please spend time with the kids:
"Kids need time, please do spend time with them. Spend time with them when it is required and not when they don't need you. So, by 11th or 12th standard, the kids would have grown and don't need you as by then they would be independent. You can cherish those memories much before they will cherish them throughout their lives. There is nothing to advise to every doctor, please please balance work, professional and family life which is very essential", signed off Dr Chandragouda Dodagoudar.

All the goons were dragged out, the leader of the goons was so heady and drunk with power; he was none other than the son of Chief Minister of Punjab, Pratap Singh Kairon, a close associate of the then PM, Jawahar Lal Nehru. All the goons were stripped to their underwear, paraded in the streets of Amritsar & later interned in the Cantonment. The next day, the Chief Minister became furious & tried to release his son from Indian Army's incarceration. Do you know what happened? His vehicle was not allowed to go into the Cantonment a

Dr Godwin Shiri: An Accomplished Theologist, Author, Research Scholar and Social Scientist..

Dr Godwin Shiri as the name itself suggests is truly a Godly person who won the hearts of people all along and wherever he went across the globe. He is a well-read, widely travelled religious personality having contributed any number of books and translations of eminent philosophers. He is turning 79 today and looking back there seems to be a huge list of accomplishments worth cherishing on the way. Priest on his own inclination: Dr Godwin Shiri himself voluntarily opted for the priestly vocation of becoming a Pastor at a young age, much against the wishes of his family. The sight of the Cross of Lord Jesus Christ and the scenario of thousands of workers marching holding red flags in his native town Mangaluru had a lasting effect on him as a young boy. Recalling the good old days Godwin Shiri admits-"Perhaps they sowed in me the seeds of compassion and social justice". Nothing is Permanent in this World: Simon CM

Bengaluru: Simon CM spearheading the People Connected to Awareness (PCA) Trust has dedicated his available time to the welfare of society. He takes pleasure in making repeated attempts for the overall well-being of society without expecting anything in return. He has been aptly and wholeheartedly supported by his wife Rose Mary working as a Teacher and Arogya Mary, his 90-year-old mother. In an informal freewheeling chat, Simon CM took time to enlist the variety of social activities he has been into: People Connected to Awareness (PCA) Trust: I was perturbed at the injustices committed in society and atrocities of the rich on poor, the highhandedness of the haves on the have-nots and things like that. After much introspection and never-ending debate within myself, at one stage I concluded that nothing is permanent in this world. Although I plunged into social service in 2015, it was in 2017 that I completely dedicated myself to social service 24x7 with the not-for-profit organization
